...Rooted in Dracut! π³
Thanks to the generous support of the Greater Lowell Community Foundation, our grassroots nonprofit is able to pursue the four-season-long initiative, Rooted in Dracut. It is focused on belonging and communal celebration within our town and among our Greater Lowell neighbors.

Rooted in Dracut is a year-long program initiative designed by grassroots nonprofit Rainbow Dracuteers with one core theme at its heart: belonging.
π SUMMER OF VISIBILITY
We will be printing an assortment of lawn signs, window decals, and other decor to share with residents and local businesses to increase the visibility of LGBTQIA2S+ Dracuteers while affirming that everyone belongs here!
π AUTUMN OF EDUCATION
In collaboration with Greater Boston PFLAG, we will be hosting 1-2 educational workshops at the Dracut public library to inform community members about LGBTQ+ identities, queer rights, and caregiving support.
βοΈ WINTER OF CELEBRATION
Working alongside the Dracut High School GSA, we will plan and host a LGBTQ+ Youth Party for any queer students and allies aged 12-18 in the Greater Lowell area to attend. The celebration will have music, games, crafts, and camaraderie.
π± SPRING OF COMMUNITY
A friendly, low-key Afternoon in the Park will invite LGBTQIA2S+ Dracut residents and allies to come together at a local public park for food, music, art, conversation, and community resource sharing.
This program reaffirms that every resident of Dracut and the Greater Lowell area belongs here no matter where they fall on the spectrum of gender or sexuality. Hometown soil is fertile for anyone and everyone to grow roots together. These four seasons of visibility, education, celebration, and community are made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Greater Lowell Community Foundation's LGBT+ Fund.
We will be periodically posting updates and information about each branch of this initiative. We are absolutely thrilled and honored to receive this financial support from the Greater Lowell Community Foundation. Thanks to their generosity, our young, small nonprofit can do more to serve this community. β€οΈ
